Letter Regarding Chiefs
To All Members of Stratford Police Local 407:
We, the Union Board, write to you today to express our deep concern regarding the ongoing actions of Chief McNeil and Deputy Chief DosSantos. It has become increasingly clear that these individuals cannot be trusted to uphold the integrity of our contractual agreements, nor the side agreements that were mutually established with the labor board.
One of the most egregious violations involves Officer Sharnick, who, after experiencing retaliation for his involvement on this very union board, was supposed to be reinstated to his traffic position as per our agreement. However, despite clear terms being set forth, the Chief and Deputy Chief have continually chosen to ignore these obligations, blatantly disregarding both our contract and the labor board’s decision.
Additionally, we have learned that several supervisors were also misled during yesterday's personnel movements concerning various positions. These supervisors were given false or incomplete information regarding these changes, further demonstrating the administration’s pattern of dishonesty and lack of transparency. This manipulation of internal movements not only undermines our collective trust but also creates confusion and instability within the department. This is not an isolated incident, but part of a larger pattern of intentional misconduct by these administrators, who seem more interested in undermining the union than working in partnership with us to maintain a fair and just work environment. These repeated violations not only demonstrate their bad faith but also erode the trust and morale of our membership.
We urge every member of Local 407 to remain vigilant, united, and informed. We will continue to fight for our rights, hold the administration accountable, and ensure that the terms of our contract are respected. However, it is imperative that we stand together and recognize that the leadership we are dealing with cannot be believed or relied upon. Thank you for your continued solidarity and support as we navigate these challenging times. We will keep you updated on any developments as we work towards a resolution.
In unity and strength.

Press Release from Attorney Pattis
Admin Sends Union New Sick Policy
Several hours after one of our members and Officers suffered a catastrophic medical emergency, SPD Admin chose to send out a new sick leave policy designed to target our members and hold them captive in their own residences, notifying department personnel each and every time you need to leave your own house, even if it is for a doctors appointment.

We have never seen anything like it and an MPP is currently in the works to combat this gross overreach of administration into our members personal lives.
